Striving for Brighter Futures for Girls
Alekain is a U.S.-based nonprofit that expands access to accredited secondary education for Afghan girls who have been denied access to school. Through a comprehensive model that includes academic instruction, mentorship, mental-health support, English preparation, and essential technology, Alekain equips students with the tools they need to earn a high school diploma and pursue higher education. Guided by a belief in dignity, safety, and possibility, we help girls continue their learning—and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

Grades 9–12 through Smart Schools International
Girls earn accredited diplomas through Smart Schools International that open doors to higher education.
Laptops and Monthly Internet
Every student receives a laptop and a monthly internet package required for secure and reliable online learning.
Weekly One-on-One Mentorship
U.S. college students guide girls academically and emotionally, fostering growth and resilience.
Guided Group Therapy
Students build confidence, manage stress, and strengthen emotional well-being.
Tailored English Preparatory Courses
