About Me
Malia Marin a third-year Law, Societies, and Justice student at the University of Washington, originally from Maui, Hawaii. With a passion for equity, education, and advocacy, she serves as a Program Associate, Student Experience at the Alekain Foundation, where she also works as a peer mentor, help design extracurricular programs, and develop college-readiness resources for Afghan girls navigating higher education. Outside of the Foundation, she serves as a UW Student Senator and Director of Policy & Advocacy for the UW Women Empowerment Club, where she works to turn student voices into real institutional change. When she is not doing that, you can find her reading, exploring the outdoors, or trying out a new recipe!
