Margarita Pivovarova is a Member of the Board of Directors at Alekain. She is an economist by education and a passionate advocate for public education for all. After earning her PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto, she joined Mary Lou Fulton Teacher College to advance the understanding of what works and what does not in education. Her research focuses on teacher labor markets, student achievement, and school contextual factors. She published her findings in peer-reviewed journals and public outlets, including the Brookings Institution and the Washington Post.
